The education committee plans our Sunday School kids and youth activities. They also put together a fabulous Vacation Bible School each summer. They are responsible for reviewing and awarding our yearly college scholarships, plan our annual Trunk or Treat in October as wall as Easter activities working hand in hand with CEMAC. The most recent project is the youth "Blessings Pantry" which is meant to help provide quick and easy food for those in need in our area. It is located at the East entrance of the church.
This committee meets the 1st Tuesday of every month.
Education Commission Update
Sunday April 30th the Education Commission honored the small group’s leaders, Sunday School Teachers, Graduates and awarded the McNulty Scholarship. The McNulty Scholarship was awarded to Katie Rich this year! Katie is pursuing her Masters of Education Degree with a specialty in Reading. Graduates who were honored were: Catey Blackman, graduating from Windsor High School and is the granddaughter of Maxine and Gary Bracken. Catey was active in FUMC youth group when she lived in Greeley. Haley Droog, graduating from UNC with a degree in elementary education, is one of FUMC’s Sunday School Teachers. Hannah Hess, graduating from Southern Methodist University – Dallas with a Master of Science in Accounting, has a position with Price Waterhouse. Hannah was very active at FUMC prior to moving on to the University. She is the daughter of Peggy and Richard Hess. Nathan Mitchell is graduating from Legacy High School in Broomfield and will be joining the Navy. Nathan was active at FUMC when he lived in Greeley. He is the grandson of Jeannie Merriman.
